In situ SR-CT Experimental Study on the Directional Sintering of High-Temperature Superconductor YBCO Materials in the Microwave Fields

YBa2Cu3O7-x (YBCO) is a kind of high-temperature superconducting material that has important application in information, energy, medical treatment, etc., and the properties YBCO are closely related to its internal microstructure. In this study, microwave heating method was adopted prepare materials. The 3D online evolution observation based on synchrotron radiation computed tomography technology shows there directional grain growth phenomenon during sintering process. local regions with special microstructure, these particles grew same point. Here, theoretical models single multiple electromagnetic fields were established. Based finite element analysis, it can modulate distribution fields, resulting significantly higher electric field intensity at particle junctions than other regions. Moreover, very high temperature gradients directions growth. These factors crucial sintering. results will provide basis technical guidance for controllable preparation performance optimization microstructure materials
